Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around East Boldon

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Abingdon Way, Boldon Colliery NE35 9PB, UK – 0191 519 0888

The food was usual pizza hut standard. One particular staff member was, shall we say a little over enthusiastic in his attentiveness! We were made to wait an extra ordinary amount of time for one of the kids meals. We were told it had been dropped, having worked in a restaurant in the past I know that means it had been forgotten about. The staff member in question came to ask if everything was OK. With a mouthful of pizza I half smiled and nodded. He bent over and directly AT me said "it is usual to answer if you are asked a question". I couldn't reply quick enough but one of our party simply said "she has her mouth full". We were out for a birthday lunch and the problem with the "dropped meal" and then the staff somewhat took the shine off our celebration. It'll be a long time before I even think about visiting Pizza Hut again

Good place to eat after visiting the cineworld cinema, its normally empty and quite, service is also good

Pizzeria Gloria

Fellgate Ave, Jarrow NE32 4LZ, UK – 0191 421 4142

Lovely teatime starter, pizza & coffee. Relaxing surroundings. Modern & new. Friendly staff. Excellent service. Food fresh & tasty. Well worth a try. You won't be disappointed.

Starter of potato skins was immense in size and tasty. Kiev pizza was a little disappointing, half a dozen large chunks of chicken, rather than smaller and spread out, crust was tough and base was very soft, garlic flavour was undetectable! However, Moretti was lovely as were the staff, and very attentive but not overbearing. Calamari was tasty, batter was lovely...Calzone pizza was very good. Overall 8/10.

Miller & Carter Sunderland

Newcastle Rd, Sunderland SR5 1JT, UK – 0191 548 0922

Unbelieveable food and even better service. Went here for our first wedding anniversary and it lived up to everything we wanted. Will 100% be returning and probably will not eat steak anywhere else. Andy our server was fantastic and knew exactly what he was talking about. First time in a long time we have had such good service when we have been out for a meal. Well worth the money.

Nice food, very pricey. I got a burger meal ( £13 ) which was served on a slate... Very trendy but my burger had a fried egg in. When I cut my burger the egg yolk burst and ran all over the slate a table. Messy. Waiter was very helpful and got a plate to continue my meal. 3 main and 1 child's main meal. no starter no dessert and one soft drink each £52. May 18
