Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around East Boldon

Spice One

1 South Ave, South Shields NE34 6QZ, UK – 0191 455 0600

First time eating at Spice One tonight. We ordered 3 curries with usual rice and sides etc. Everything was excellent!! Food was hot, fresh and very very tasty. Each of the curries tasted totally different and each as amazing as the other. Rice and side dishes were equally as delicious. Quality food. Brilliant service to. Staff are very friendly! I strongly recommend this place. Value for money. We will definitely be going back.

Excellent food, friendly staff, fast service, good clean facilities, very flexible with picky eaters and children.

Absolutely fabulous! Best restaurant in Sunderland by far. Food is always amazing, fresh, hot and beautifully cooked. Their extensive wine list is fantastic. Service is always impeccable and the atmosphere is always classy and sophisticated. Highly recommend!!!!

Excellent food, always willing to change the menus for individual tasty, plenty of drinks selection and well maintained premises, only low point is limited drink selection when it comes to cider and beers.

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Abingdon Way, Boldon Colliery NE35 9PB, UK – 0191 519 0888

Very nice restaurant . New and clean. Great staff. Loads of diet options including vegan cheese

The food was usual pizza hut standard. One particular staff member was, shall we say a little over enthusiastic in his attentiveness! We were made to wait an extra ordinary amount of time for one of the kids meals. We were told it had been dropped, having worked in a restaurant in the past I know that means it had been forgotten about. The staff member in question came to ask if everything was OK. With a mouthful of pizza I half smiled and nodded. He bent over and directly AT me said "it is usual to answer if you are asked a question". I couldn't reply quick enough but one of our party simply said "she has her mouth full". We were out for a birthday lunch and the problem with the "dropped meal" and then the staff somewhat took the shine off our celebration. It'll be a long time before I even think about visiting Pizza Hut again
